Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using ProtectAffiliate (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and PINGTAIL PARTNERS, the operator of ProtectAffiliate.

2. What ProtectAffiliate does

ProtectAffiliate monitors affiliate links that you provide or that we discover from sources you connect. We detect when links are broken, geo-blocked, out of stock, or when your affiliate tracking parameter has been stripped. We provide estimates of potential revenue impact — these are estimates only and are not guarantees of actual earnings lost or recovered. We also provide redirect infrastructure (pa.link), click analytics, and browser-based hijack detection via our pa.js script.

3. Your account

  • You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • You must not share login credentials or allow others to use your account.
  • You must be 18 or older to use the Service.
  • You may sign up using email/password or via Google or Twitter OAuth. You are responsible for the security of those accounts.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Add links you do not own or have authorisation to monitor.
  • Use the Service to scrape or harvest data from third-party websites beyond what is needed for your own affiliate monitoring.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract our detection rules, algorithms, or infrastructure.
  • Resell, sublicense, or white-label the Service without written permission from PINGTAIL PARTNERS.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any third party’s rights.
  • Abuse or circumvent credit limits, plan restrictions, or rate limits.

5. Plans and billing

  • The Free plan is free with no time limit and requires no credit card.
  • Paid plans (Starter, Growth, Pro) are billed monthly in advance via Razorpay.
  • An annual billing option is available at a 10% discount, billed upfront for 12 months.
  • If a payment fails, Critical-priority link protection remains active for 7 days as a grace period. After 7 days, the account reverts to Free plan limits.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Access continues until the period ends.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days’ written notice. Existing subscribers are grandfathered at their current price for their current billing period and notified before any change takes effect.

6. Refund policy

We do not offer refunds.

ProtectAffiliate provides a permanent Free plan with no credit card required, no time limit, and no feature expiry. This free access — including a full one-time link audit of your entire content library — is your opportunity to evaluate the Service before purchasing.

When you choose to upgrade to a paid plan, you have already experienced the Service. All paid plan payments are final and non-refundable, including:

  • Monthly or annual subscription payments
  • Credit top-up purchases (Boost S, Boost M, Boost L)
  • Partial months remaining after cancellation

The only exception is if we are unable to provide the Service for more than 72 consecutive hours due to a failure entirely within our control. In that case, you may request a pro-rata credit for the affected days. This credit applies to future usage and is not paid in cash.

7. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Scan cadences (weekly on Starter, daily on Growth, 2× daily on Pro) are targets and not contractual guarantees. We are not liable for missed scans caused by third-party infrastructure outages (Zyte, Supabase, Vercel, Razorpay).

8. pa.js and redirect infrastructure

If you install the pa.js script on your website or use pa.link short redirect links, you acknowledge that:

  • pa.js processes click events in your visitors’ browsers. You are responsible for disclosing this in your own privacy policy.
  • pa.link redirect links route through our infrastructure. If your subscription lapses, geo-routing and Smart Fallback will stop working. Basic redirects to the original URL will continue.
  • Visitor-facing messages shown by pa.js (e.g., browser extension notices) are controlled by you in your dashboard settings.

9. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, PINGTAIL PARTNERS is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost affiliate revenue. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

Revenue impact estimates shown in the dashboard are calculated from your click and scan data. They are not a guarantee of actual losses or recovery.

10. Intellectual property

ProtectAffiliate, its detection rules, algorithms, pa.js script, and UI are the intellectual property of PINGTAIL PARTNERS. You retain ownership of your link data. You grant us a licence to process your link and click data solely to provide the Service to you.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Danger Zone. On deletion, all your data is permanently removed.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If the change is material, we will email you at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
